Boating Accident on Lake Winnipesaukee, Tuftonboro

On Saturday, May 29, 2021, at approximately 1:30 PM, New Hampshire State Police- Marine Patrol Unit received information about a single boating accident that had occurred on Friday evening. The male operator of the boat was later identified as 62-year-old Thomas Meserve out of Southborough, MA. He was being treated for internal injuries at Speare Memorial Hospital in Plymouth, NH. The accident involved a commercial pontoon boat, which occurred near the “Barbers Pole” off Cow Island on Lake Winnipesaukee. There were no other persons on board.
