Commercial Motor Vehicle Crash Shuts Down I-93 Ramp

Bow, New Hampshire – On March 28, 2023, at approximately 4:10p.m., State Police responded to a commercial motor vehicle crash on the Interstate 93 southbound on-ramp from Interstate 89 southbound in the Bow Junction. The tractor trailer unit was traveling on the on-ramp as it approached a right-hand curve in the roadway and went off the roadway to the right and struck a light pole. The light pole was damaged in the crash and was blocking the travel lane.

The driver was evaluated at the scene by Bow Fire and Rescue and was deemed uninjured in the crash. The on-ramp was shut down for approximately one and a half hours until the truck and light pole could be safely removed from the roadway. Driver inattention appears to be a factor in the crash.

New Hampshire State Police Troop D was assisted on scene by the Troop G Commercial Motor Carrier Unit, Bow Fire and Rescue, New Hampshire Department of Transportation, Unitil, and New England Truck Center towing.
