Crash Reduction Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement
On January 18, 2019, members of New Hampshire State Police – Troop G conducted motor vehicle enforcement in the towns of Alton, Concord, Conway, Dover, Exeter, Epping, Franklin, Jaffrey, Keene, Lancaster, Lee, Littleton, Londonderry, Manchester, Milford, Nashua, Portsmouth, Plaistow, Raymond, Ringe, Salem, Tilton, and Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. Troopers from Troop G specifically focused their enforcement efforts on reducing traffic collisions involving commercial motor vehicles.
Members of Troop G are highly skilled Troopers who have received specialized training to conduct roadside inspections of commercial motor vehicles. During the daylong event, Troopers inspected 86 commercial motor vehicles and discovered 170 violations. Of those violations, 30 were so severe that they created a condition where the vehicle or its driver was placed out of service. Troopers issued a total of 11 summons and 159 warnings.
The New Hampshire State Police are committed to ensuring safe travel throughout the State and will continue our efforts to reduce collisions during the upcoming winter season.
