Driving Under the Influence Arrest

Pembroke, New Hampshire – On Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at approximately 7:30 AM, Trooper First Class Anthony Cattabriga of New Hampshire State Police Troop G, attempted to stop a 2023 International tractor- trailer on Pembroke Street, in the Town of Pembroke, after having witnessed the truck display severe lane control issues for some distance. Even with lights and sirens on, the truck continued weaving back and forth, failing to pull over. Three minutes into attempting to get the driver to stop, Trooper First Class Cattabriga was finally able to pull up next to the truck at a red light and flag the driver over. The driver was slow to pull over and almost struck a mailbox before bringing the truck to a final rest just north of Pembroke Academy.

The driver, identified as Wyatt Damon Jr., Age: 23 Skowhegan, ME, was subsequently placed under arrest for violation of NH RSA 265-A:2 Driving Under the Influence. The tractor- trailer unit was towed from the scene.

The Troop G – Motor Carrier Unit is comprised of the most highly trained and experienced commercial motor vehicle examiners in the state of New Hampshire who are certified by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Their primary mission is to ensure the safety of the motoring public by focusing their enforcement efforts on Commercial Motor Vehicles. Their work supports the education and adherence of Motor Carriers to the federal rules that support commerce and keep our roadways safe for all.
