Motor Vehicle Pursuit
Enfield, New Hampshire – On November 3, 2022, at approximately 11:04 PM, the New Hampshire State Police was advised by a concerned motorist of an erratic driver complaint traveling on I-89 northbound at mile marker 50.2. The vehicle was identified as a 2021 black Honda HR-V.
A short time later, a Trooper from the Troop D barracks was able to set up and locate the vehicle traveling all over the road northbound on Interstate 89 in the area of Exit 18 in Lebanon, NH. The vehicle failed to pull over as a Trooper attempted to initiate a stop. The vehicle continued to travel northbound at a slow rate of speed while having lane control issues and failing to use turn signals. The vehicle crossed over into Vermont and eventually came to a slow stop partially in the right hand lane on I-89 northbound at mile marker 2.2 in the town of Hartford, VT.
The lone operator was identified as: Thomas J. Griffin of Methuen, MA Age: 66.
Griffin was arrested by the Vermont State Police for driving under the influence (DUI) and will face multiple charges from the New Hampshire State Police out of the Lebanon District Court to include reckless operation, disobeying a police officer, lane control and signals required.
