Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash - 20221212

Dover, New Hampshire – On Monday, December 12, 2022 at approximately 2:37 PM, the New Hampshire State Police Troop A responded to a motor vehicle crash on Route 16 in the Town of Dover, New Hampshire in the area of mile marker 6.4.
 
Upon arrival it was determined that a tractor-trailer was traveling southbound on Route 16 when it went off the roadway to the left, went over the guardrail and into the northbound travel lane of Route 16. Upon entering the northbound side, the tractor-trailer collided with a 2022 Acura and a 2016 Honda Accord. An additional vehicle collided with the guardrail in an attempt to avoid a collision with the tractor-trailer. As a result of the collision, the operator of the Acura sustained fatal injuries and the operator of the Honda Accord sustained minor injuries. The operator of the Tractor Trailer was identified as:

At the request of the New Hampshire State Police Troop A, the Collision Analysis & Reconstruction (C.A.R.) Unit responded to the scene and assumed the lead of the investigation. The C.A.R. Unit was assisted on scene by New Hampshire State Police Troop A and Troop G, the Dover Police and Fire Departments, the Newington Fire Department, New Hampshire Department of Transportation and the Department of Environmental Services.

Update: The deceased operator of the Acura has been identified as Nicole Sarkis, age 59, of Alton, New Hampshire.
