Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash
SEABROOK, New Hampshire – On June 20, 2023, at approximately 8:11 p.m., Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police Troop A Barracks responded to the report of a serious motor vehicle crash on Interstate 95 North in the town of Seabrook. It was reported that white van had struck a bridge abutment and it was smoking. Upon arrival, it was found that the operator was the only occupant and was entrapped, and unresponsive inside the 2012 Chevrolet Express Van.
Upon extraction, the operator was confirmed to have succumbed to the injuries sustained during the crash and was declared deceased by emergency medical personnel. The male operator was identified as:
Eraldo Bezerra
Age: 77
Hudson, MA
Preliminary investigation showed that the Chevrolet Express Van left the roadway on the right side for an unknown reason, traveled approximately 200 feet in the grass and then struck the bridge abutment at the Route 107 overpass. The van came to final rest in the right breakdown lane.
Two travel lanes of Interstate 95 North were shut down for approximately two and a half hours so that the crash could be investigated, and the removal of the vehicle could be arranged.
Throughout the course of the investigation, Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police were assisted by the Seabrook Fire Department.
This crash remains under investigation and anyone with information pertaining to this incident is asked to contact Trooper Seth Parker at Seth.W.Parker@dos.nh.gov.
