Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash

Sullivan – On Sunday, May 7, 2023, at approximately 6:14 a.m., Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police Troop C Barracks responded to Valley Road for a report of a motor vehicle rollover.

Upon arrival, it was determined that a 2012 Ford Focus was traveling southbound when it veered off the roadway, side swiped a guardrail and then collided with a stone wall, causing the vehicle to roll over. The operator of the vehicle was Taylor Hokanson, Age: 21, Keene, NH, and he was pronounced deceased at the scene. A 16-year-old juvenile was also in the vehicle and was ejected during the crash. The juvenile sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, and was transported to the Cheshire Medical Center in Keene for treatment. The juvenile was then airlifted to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon as a precaution.

The New Hampshire State Police were assisted at the scene by the Sullivan Fire Department, the Keene Fire Department, Rescue Inc. EMS services and the Keene Police Department.
