Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash

North Hampton – On Thursday, May 4, 2023, at approximately 9:44 p.m., the North Hampton Police Department responded to a crash on Route 1 near Granite Road.

Upon arrival, it was determined that a 2007 Honda Civic was traveling southbound when it crossed over the double yellow line, the continuous middle turn lane, a second double yellow line and struck a 2019 Hyundai Tucson that was traveling northbound.

As a result of the collision, the driver of the Hyundai Tucson, Alexander Price, age 25, of Portsmouth, NH succumbed to his injuries and passed away at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital. The driver of the Honda Civic, Matthew Meisner, age 37, of Hampton, NH sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash.

Due to the severity of the crash, the New Hampshire State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction (C.A.R.) Unit responded to the scene and assumed the lead of the investigation.
