Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash

WARNER, New Hampshire – On Monday, July 31, 2023, at approximately 12:09 p.m., Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police Troop D barracks were notified of a motor vehicle crash on Interstate 89 north located in the Town of Warner, New Hampshire in the area of mile 16.6. 

Upon arrival, it was determined that a 2008 Infiniti was traveling northbound on Interstate 89 when the vehicle left the left side of the roadway, entering the center median. The vehicle then entered the wood line and struck the trees.

As a result of the crash, the driver, and sole occupant of the vehicle sustained fatal injuries.  The driver was identified as Douglas E. Malone, age 60, of Windham, NH.

New Hampshire State Police Troop D was assisted on scene by Warner and Hopkinton Police Departments, Warner and Hopkinton Fire Departments, and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.
