Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash in East Kingston

East Kingston, New Hampshire – On November 8, 2022 at approximately 10:00 PM, Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police Troop A Barracks, along with emergency medical personnel from the East Kingston Fire Department and East Kingston Police Department responded to a report of a crash involving a single motor vehicle on Stumpfield Road near the intersection of North Road. The vehicle was a 2009 Scion travelling south on Stumpfield Road and went off the roadway on the northbound side and collided with a tree. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Timothy Grundy of Exeter, Age: 30.

Grundy sustained minor injuries as a result of this crash and was transported to Exeter Hospital. The passenger of the vehicle sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on scene. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

New Hampshire State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction (CAR) Unit was requested to respond and to assist at the scene. Stumpfield Road was closed for approximately four hours as a result of the investigation. State Police were assisted at the scene by the East Kingston Fire Department, East Kingston Police Department, Kensington Police Department and New England Truck Center.

All aspects of this crash remain under investigation by State Police and no charges have been filed at this time. State Police is requesting that anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact the investigating trooper, Trooper Tyler Dodds at Tyler.M.Dodds@dos.nh.gov.
