Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash, Interstate 89 - Sutton
On Friday, April 23, 2021 at approximately 4:46 P.M., Troopers from New Hampshire State Police-Troop D responded to a motor vehicle crash in the area just south of the Sutton Rest Area on Interstate 89 southbound in the Town of Sutton. It was determined that a 2015 GMS Pickup, operated by 42 year-old Glenn Levesque of Nashua, was traveling south on Interstate 89 when he lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway to the left side of the road, entering the soft shoulder. The vehicle then crossed Interstate 89 just south of the Sutton Rest Area, leaving the roadway to the right side. As the vehicle entered the wood line, it began to rollover ejecting both occupants. Levesque was transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital by DHART helicopter with life threating injuries he sustained in the crash. The passenger of the vehicle, Jonathan Mainguy, age 35 also of Nashua, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
At the request of Troop D Supervisor, the New Hampshire State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction (C.A.R.) Unit responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation.
The New Hampshire State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit were assisted on scene by New Hampshire State Police Troop C and Troop D, Sutton Police Department, Sutton Fire Department and New London Ambulance.
