Fatal Motorcycle Crash - Route 4A Wilmot

On 10/21/19 at approximately 1843 hours, a black sport style motorcycle operated by Steven Berkeley, 72, Springfield, NH.

was involved in a fatal crash. Investigation revealed that prior to the crash Berkeley was traveling northbound on Route 4A in the Town of Wilmot. Berkeley crossed the centerline, lost control of the motorcycle and was fatally injured. Berkeley was pronounced dead at the scene. While the crash remains under investigation it appears that excessive, speed was a contributing factor. Members of the Wilmot Fire Department, New London Ambulance and the Springfield Police Department assisted troopers from Troop D.
