Felony Reckless Conduct / Disobeying, Interstate 93 North Salem, NH

On October 16, 2019, at approximately 12:31 AM State Police dispatch was advised of a vehicle traveling on Interstate 93 North in Salem, NH in a reckless manner.

Troopers from NH State Police Troop B were able to locate vehicle, observing that it was traveling in excess of 100mph and operating without any headlights.

Trooper Foster attempted to stop the vehicle, only to have it attempt to elude him. Trooper Foster pursued the vehicle until troopers from Troop B, Troop D, and the Mobile Enforcement Team were able to intercept the vehicle as it traveled north on Interstate 93, deploying stop sticks to bring the brief pursuit to a quick and safe resolution.

After the deployment of stop sticks, the vehicle was brought to a stop and the operator was taken into custody without incident. The operator was identified as Steven Leung (DOB: 10/15/1975), Age: 44, Redwood City, CA.

Leung was charged with Reckless Conduct (Felony B 631:3), Disobeying an Officer (Misd. A 265:4), and Reckless Driving (Violation 265:79).
