Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash

Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire – On July 31, 2022, at 1:42 PM, Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police Troop C Barracks, along with Officers from the Fitzwilliam Police Department and emergency medical personnel from the Fitzwilliam Fire Department, responded to Rte. 12, in front of the Bottom’s Up convenience store for a reported fatal motor vehicle crash.

Upon arrival, it was determined that a 2009 Kawasaki ZX600R motorcycle was traveling northbound when it collided with a 2012 Jeep Compass that was turning left into the Bottom’s Up driveway from the southbound lane of travel. Witnesses observed the motorcycle traveling at an excessive rate of speed while passing other vehicles prior to the crash. The operator of the motorcycle was: Alexander Barbur, Age 27, Troy, NH, and he was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Jeep did not sustained any injuries and she was identified as: Patricia Lichwell, Age 59, Berlin, MA.
