Hazardous Operator Crashes on Route 101

front damage of nisan altimaCandia, New Hampshire – On October 7, 2022 at approximately 4:00 PM, New Hampshire State Police Dispatch received multiple calls for a hazardous operator that had entered Route 101 East from Interstate 93. The suspect vehicle, a white Nissan Altima, was reportedly having severe lane control issues and had almost struck the guard rail several times. While State Police and other law enforcement agencies responded to the area to intercept the vehicle, it left the roadway and entered the median in the area of Exit 5, before turning around so that it was back onto Route 101, but was now westbound.

The suspect vehicle made it to the area of Exit 3 before law enforcement could locate it and once again entered the median, crossed to the eastbound side, and began traveling the wrong direction on Route 101 East. Shortly thereafter, the vehicle crashed into the guardrail along the right side of Route 101 East, miraculously avoiding any head-on collisions with the motoring public.

The operator of the Nissan Altima was the only occupant and was identified as Jazlyn Hale, Age: 22, Goffstown, NH.

Candia Police Department, Auburn Police Department, and Candia Fire/EMS assisted New Hampshire State Police with this incident.

To process the scene, the right lane of Route 101 East was closed for approximately 1 hour.

Impaired driving appears to be a factor in the crash; however, all aspects of this case remain under investigation. Charges are expected. State Police is requesting that anyone who may have information pertaining to the incident to please contact the investigating trooper, Trooper First Class Brian Gacek at Brian.F.Gacek@dos.nh.gov.
