Labor Day Weekend C.A.R.E. Weekend - Statewide
As Labor Day weekend approaches, summer is coming to an end. Colonel Christopher Wagner, along with the men and women of the New Hampshire State Police hope that the citizens of New Hampshire and those visiting our great state enjoy themselves and drive safely this holiday weekend.
The New Hampshire State Police will be in full force with extra patrols on this holiday weekend to ensure the roadways in New Hampshire are kept safe. Our troopers will be focusing their enforcement efforts on distracted driving, excessive speed, and impaired driving. While we encourage all to enjoy the last few weeks of summer, we advise to do it safely. We have a zero tolerance for driving while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. Always remember to drink responsibly and have a designated driver or utilize safe transportation to your destination.
Please allow for plenty of time when traveling in order to keep your speeds reduced and safe distances between you and the vehicle ahead. Adherence to NH RSA 265:25 Following Too Closely can greatly reduce the number of collisions seen during this holiday weekend. Keeping your attention on the roads at all times is a must. One slight distraction can lead to unintended consequences. Please wear your seatbelt and drive responsibly.
The New Hampshire State Police are committed to ensuring the safety of those traveling throughout our state. We ask you to make a conscious effort to do your part in striving towards such mission.
Have a happy and safe holiday weekend.
