Motor Vehicle Crash

Lebanon, New Hampshire – On July 21, 2022, at approximately 1:06 PM, New Hampshire State Police – Troop D responded to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 89 North in the city of Lebanon, NH. At the time of the crash, a storm cell rapidly moved through the area causing a significant downpour of rain, making visibility poor and the roadway conditions hazardous.

As traffic slowed due to the changing weather and road conditions, a 2017 Ford Escape crashed into the rear of a 2010 Ford F-150 in the area of Exit 18. The lone operator of the Ford Escape was found unresponsive and transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in critical condition. The lone operator of the Ford F-150 was not injured from the crash. At this time, impairment is not believed to be a factor. The information of those involved are being withheld pending further investigation.

The left lane was shut down for approximately 2 hours for the investigation and roadway clean up. New Hampshire State Police was assisted on the scene by the Lebanon Police Department, Lebanon Fire and Rescue, and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.

If anyone has information regarding this incident, please contact Trooper Jacob Plourde at (603) 223-8914 or Jacob.J.Plourde@dos.nh.gov.
