Man Arrested For Attempting To Obtain A Non-Driver ID Using Fraudulent Documents

DOVER, N.H. – A Portsmouth man is facing multiple charges after he tried to obtain a non-driver identification card using fraudulent documents.

On Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2024, members of the Troop G Investigations Unit arrested Fernando De Souza Coimbra, 29, of Portsmouth, after investigators received information that Coimbra was attempting to submit fraudulent documents to the Dover branch of the Division of Motor Vehicles for the purpose of obtaining a New Hampshire non-driver identification card. 

Coimbra was taken into custody without incident and charged with unsworn falsification and tampering with public records or information. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Dover District Court on Oct. 8, 2024 at 8 a.m. No booking photo is available at this time.
