Motor Vehicle Collision / Lane closures, North Hampton, NH

On Tuesday July 23, 2019 at approximately 1:00 pm, Troop-A dispatch received a call of a rollover crash on Interstate 95 southbound prior to exit #2 in the town of North Hampton. Troopers from the NH State Police-Troop A barracks responded to the area and located a 2007 Isuzu Truck (Trash hauler) that had rolled over onto its' side, resulting in the right 2 lanes of traffic being blocked. Investigation revealed that the operator of the vehicle, DAMION M. LOVELY, age 22, from Dover, NH, drove off the right side of the roadway and then lost control of his vehicle. This resulted in the truck rolling over and spilling the contents of the cargo area across the highway.

Lovely sustained minor injuries and was transported to the Portsmouth Regional Hospital for treatment. The passenger, Andrew D. Fogarty, age 19, from Greenland, NH, was uninjured.

The right 2 lanes in the area of this collision were closed for approximately 1 hour as crews worked to remove the vehicle and debris.

The NH State Police were assisted at the scene by the North Hampton Fire Department and the NH Department of Transportation.

All aspects of this collision are currently under investigation and driver fatigue appears to be a contributing factor. Anyone with information pertaining to this incident is asked to contact Tr. Harrison Walters, NH State Police-Troop A at (603) 223-8490, or via email at harrison.walters@dos.nh.gov.
