Motor Vehicle Crash

Sanbornton, New Hampshire – On December 26, 2022 at approximately 9:06 AM, New Hampshire State Police received a report of a single vehicle crash on Interstate 93 South in the area of mile marker 63 in the town of Sanbornton. Troopers arrived on scene and discovered that a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and drove off the left side in the median, crashing into several trees. The force of the impact with the trees was so great that the engine block completely separated from the rest of the vehicle. The lone operator was identified as Kristine Laroche, Age: 50, Franklin, NH.

She suffered serious bodily injuries and needed to be extricated from the vehicle by fire and rescue personnel. She was transported to Concord Hospital for her injuries, which are believed to be non-life threatening at this time. The left lane of Interstate 93 South was shut down in that area for approximately 1 hour while the scene was processed and the vehicle was removed by Rusty's towing service.

New Hampshire State Police Troop D was assisted on scene by the Sanbornton Fire and Rescue and the Sanbornton Police Department.
