Motor vehicle Crash, 93 NB Canterbury, NH
On 6/27/20 at approximately 1842 hours, State Police received calls from numerous motorist of a vehicle traveling north on I-93, driving in a reckless manner and having trouble keeping the vehicle in its own lane. Trooper McGregor from Troop D in Concord, observed the vehicle traveling 85 mph in a posted 70 mph zone. Trooper McGregor also observed the vehicle having lane control issues. Once Trooper McGregor got behind the vehicle he observed the vehicle veer to its left and off the road. The vehicle crashed into the trees and caught on fire in the area of I-93 north in the Town of Canterbury, NH. Lucky for the operator Trooper McGregor was on scene to pull the operator out of the burning car, assisted by another passing motorist. After further investigation It was determined the subject was impaired and arrested for DWI. The subject was transported to the Concord Hospital by Concord Rescue to be evaluated.
Canterbury Fire Department remained on scene to put out the vehicle, which was fully engulfed in flames. The highway was shut down for a short time then reopened to only one lane. The subject was identified as: Vito PAULINO, 43 years old from Manchester, NH.
