Motor Vehicle Crash Involving 5 Vehicles
Nashua, New Hampshire – On November 4, 2022 at approximately 5:00 PM, Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police Troop B Barracks in Bedford responded to the report of a serious motor vehicle crash involving five vehicles on the F.E. Everett Turnpike Southbound at Exit 5 in Nashua.
Upon arrival, Troopers determined that a silver Mercedes E-Class being driven by Vinicius Borges (Age 28) of Nashua, NH was traveling south when he struck a blue Honda Motorcycle being driven by Brian Connelly (Age 27) of Nashua, NH and a black Honda Motorcycle being driven by Laurie Connelly (Age 28) of Nashua, NH as they were stopped in traffic. As a result of this impact, the black Honda Motorcycle was pushed into a brown Dodge Durango being driven by Shannon Clifford (Age 50) which was then forced into a silver Chevrolet Pickup Truck being driven by Michael Kane (Age 58).
Ms. Connelly sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries and Mr. Connelly sustained minor injuries. Both were transported to a local hospital for treatment. No other operators were injured as a result of this crash.
Troopers at the scene were assisted by the Nashua Police Department, Nashua Fire Department and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.
Multiple lanes of the F.E. Everett Turnpike Southbound at Exit 5 were shut down for approximately one and a half hours during this incident. It appears as though operator distraction contributed to this crash; however, all aspects of it are being investigated. Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Daniel Roger at (603) 223-3849 or Daniel.A.Roger@dos.nh.gov.
