Motor Vehicle Crash with Serious Injury - Route 27 Exeter
On August 24, 2019, at approximately 7:15 am, Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police-Troop A barracks responded to Route 27, (Epping Road) in Exeter, to assist the Exeter Police Department with a motor vehicle crash involving serious bodily injury.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2009 Mercedes C300, being driven by Nicholas Munonz, age 21, with a passenger Albert Maldonado, age 22, both from Haverhill, MA, was traveling east on Route 27, in Exeter. For reasons that are still under investigation, the vehicle crossed the center line and struck a 2018 Subaru Impresa, traveling westbound, being driven by Jessica Harrigan, age 45, Exeter.
Maldonado, was transported to Exeter Hospital then transported by helicopter to Boston Medical where he was treated for serious injuries.
Harrigan was transported to Exeter Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Munonz was arrested at the scene for Reckless Conduct. Munonz was then transported to Exeter hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Sections of Route 27 between Route 101 and Ray Farmstead Road were closed for approximately 4 hours as Exeter Police and the State Police CAR Unit conducted their investigation and the vehicles were removed.
Assisting Exeter Police at the scene were New Hampshire State Police Troop A, the New Hampshire State Police CAR Unit, and the Exeter Fire Department.
Al's Automotive removed both vehicles from the scene.
