Motor Vehicle Pursuit
Farmington, New Hampshire – On Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at approximately 10:27 PM, Trooper Matthew Bailey, of the New Hampshire State Police Troop A Barracks attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a 2005 Honda Civic on Route 11 in the Town of Farmington for a speed, and registration violation. The vehicle immediately fled onto Route 153 and Trooper Bailey initiated a motor vehicle pursuit. As the vehicle travelled north on Route 153 it began to display issues of lane control and an unsafe manner of operation. Trooper Bailey pursued the vehicle on Route 153 through the towns of Farmington, Milton, and Middleton. Shortly after the Honda Civic crossed into the town of Wolfeboro, it lost control and crashed into a snowbank on Route 28. The operator of the vehicle exited the car and was non-compliant with law enforcement. The driver would ultimately be taken into custody and identified as Adriana Dion, age 33, of Dover, New Hampshire. Further investigation confirmed that the operator had been the lone occupant in the Honda during this incident. Dion was evaluated at a nearby hospital and found to have sustained no injuries from the crash.
As a result of this incident, Dion was charged with Reckless Conduct (Class B Felony), Criminal Mischief (Class B Felony), Disobeying an Officer (Class A Misdemeanor), Resisting Arrest (Class A Misdemeanor), Reckless Operation (Violation), Operating after Suspension (Violation) and Lane Control (Violation). Dion was released on personal recognizance bail pending an appearance at Strafford County Jail on March 9, 2023 at 12:30 PM.
During the course of this incident, Troopers from the Troop A barracks were assisted by multiple agencies to include members of the Troop E Barracks, Wolfeboro Police and Fire departments, Alton Police Department, and Crowell's Towing.
This incident remains under investigation by the New Hampshire State Police Troop A Barracks. Anyone with information pertaining to this investigation is asked to contact Trooper Bailey at Matthew.S.Bailey@dos.nh.gov.
