Motor Vehicle Pursuit, Interstate 95 South - Greenland
On Sunday, April 3, 2022, at approximately 12:31pm, Troopers from New Hampshire State Police Troop A were informed that Troopers from the Maine State Police were actively pursuing a motor vehicle upon Interstate 95 South in the State of Maine. Maine State Police initiated the pursuit after identifying the driver as a suspect in an armed robbery out of Auburn, ME. Upon crossing over the state line into New Hampshire, the vehicle continued eluding Troopers while driving in a reckless manner, driving the wrong way on the interstate and crossing the center median. Several attempts were made to stop the vehicle.
The vehicle ultimately came to rest in the center median near mile marker 10.2 in the Town of Greenland, NH. The suspect, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was taken into custody without further incident. The suspect was identified as Ahmed Duale (age 27 of Lewiston, ME).
Duale was subsequently charged with Felony Reckless Conduct, Disobeying a Police Officer, Disorderly Conduct, Reckless Operation and Indecent Exposure. Ahmed was transported and held at the Rockingham County House of Corrections pending arraignment Rockingham Superior Court. Assisting agencies included the Maine State Police, Kittery, ME, Portsmouth, NH, Greenland, NH and North Hampton, NH Police Departments.
