photo of damaged Suzuki Boulevard MotorcycleMerrimack, NH – On May 12, 2022 at approximately 9:30 PM, Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police Troop B Barracks, along with the Merrimack Police Department and Merrimack Fire Department, responded to the report of a motorcycle crash involving a work van on the F.E. Everett Turnpike Southbound in Merrimack, NH.

Upon arrival, Troopers identified a 2018 Suzuki Boulevard Motorcycle, Color: Black, lying in the breakdown lane heavily damaged. The Merrimack Police Department and Troopers were later able to locate the operator and sole occupant of the motorcycle identified as James Stabile, Age: 38, Salem, NH, after he fled the scene. He was found walking away from the scene off of Exit 12 and onto the D.W. Highway in Merrimack, NH. Initial reports indicate that Stabile was travelling at a high rate of speed, driving aggressively and passing in the breakdown lane just prior to losing control and striking the back of a 2018 Nissan NV1500 work Van, Color: White, Operated by Russell Montbleau, Age: 51, Lowell, MA.

Montbleau was released from the scene with no apparent injuries and personnel from the Merrimack Fire Department transported Stabile to the Elliot Hospital for injuries sustained from the crash. Speed and alcohol appear to be factors in this crash, however, all aspects remain under investigation and anyone who may have witnessed the crash are asked to contact Trooper J. Janosz at Jonathan.M.Janosz@dos.nh.gov or (603) 227-0039.
