Motorcyclist Who Tried To Evade State Police At 120 MPH Arrested

Troop F

CAMPTON, N.H. – A Massachusetts woman was arrested by New Hampshire State Troopers on multiple charges after refusing to stop for police and operating at speeds more than 120 mph.

At approximately 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2024, the New Hampshire State Police Communications Unit received a report of a white motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed and passing other vehicles in an unsafe manner, while northbound on Interstate 93 in Concord.

State Troopers assigned to the Troop D and Troop F barracks responded and attempted to stop the motorcyclist near Exit 23. The motorcyclist failed to stop, accelerated in excess of 120 mph and continued northbound. Troopers lost sight of the motorcycle and disengaged from the pursuit.

A short time later, the motorcycle was spotted by members of Troop F traveling at a high rate of speed in the northbound lanes of I-93 in Ashland and again in Campton, where the motorcyclist exited the Interstate at Exit 28. Troopers then observed the motorcycle and its operator at a nearby gas station on Route 49 and attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop.

During an apparent attempt to flee police again, the motorcyclist drove the motorcycle into the front of a stopped State Police cruiser at a low speed and lost control. The motorcyclist, later identified as Juliana R. Gobbi, 18, of Brockton, Massachusetts, was unhurt.

Gobbi was arrested and charged with reckless driving, disobeying a police officer and criminal mischief. She was released on personal recognizance bail and has been ordered to appear in Plymouth District Court on Dec. 16, 2024.
