One Deceased After Single-Vehicle Crash In Francestown

Troop B

FRANCESTOWN, N.H. – A young adult is deceased following a single-vehicle crash in Francestown.

At approximately 4:15 a.m. today, Sept. 21, 2024, State Troopers assigned to the Troop B barracks responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Route 136 in Francestown. The crash was reported by a passerby who was unable to assist in rendering aid as the vehicle caught fire following the collision.

The preliminary investigation has determined that a 2023 Subaru Crosstrek, driven by Nolan Trottier, 21, of Francestown, left the road and collided head-on with a tree. Trottier succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Trottier was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

Route 136 was closed in the area of the crash for approximately two hours while emergency personnel conducted the investigation. Members of the New Boston Police Department and the Francestown Fire Department also responded to the scene and provided assistance to the State Police.

All aspects of the crash remain under investigation. Anyone who witnessed the crash or who has further information that may assist the investigation is asked to contact Trooper Alexander Guilbeault at Alexander.R.Guilbeault@dos.nh.gov or (603) 223-4381.
