Operation Turnpike Protection

MERRIMACK, New Hampshire - State and local law enforcement participated in a joint enforcement effort focusing on the Everett Turnpike throughout this week. These additional patrols on the Everett Turnpike occurred Monday, August 28, 2023, through Friday, September 1, 2023, during peak commuting hours to increase visible patrols and improve driving conditions on the highway. 

During these multiple four-hour initiatives, approximately 123 motor vehicle stops were conducted for various driving infractions. Officers and Troopers issued 90 summonses and made 3 arrests. Troopers focused on aggressive driving and excessive speed with multiple traffic stops ranging in the 90-100+ MPH range.

An increase of patrols will continue on the Everett Turnpike and across the State throughout the Labor Day holiday weekend.  Please follow the rules of the road and drive responsibly.
