Reckless Driving Arrest - Route 2, Randolph
On October 19, 2019 at around 1:40p.m. Trooper Neil Chapdelaine was monitoring traffic along Route 2 in the town of Randolph immediately following and in the vicinity of a memorial dedication for the Fallen 7 where seven members of the Jarheads Motorcycle Club were tragically killed in June of 2019 in a horrific motor vehicle collision, when he clocked a vehicle traveling 111MPH in a posted 55MPH zone. The operator identified as Dingming Zhou, Age 25, Washington State, was taken into custody and charged with Reckless Driving and was released and ordered to appear before the Berlin Circuit Court on December 17, 2019 to answer to the charge. There were no passengers in Zhou's vehicle, however traffic in the area was extremely heavy due to folks visiting the area for the memorial service as well as regular tourists visiting to view the foliage.
