Reckless Driving, I-93 Hooksett, NH
At approximately 0715 hours on August 31, 2020, Tr. Tom Lombardi, of the New Hampshire State Police Special Enforcement Unit was monitoring traffic from the State Police aircraft on I-93 northbound in the Town of Hooksett. Tr. Lombardi observed a vehicle traveling at an extremely high rate of speed and clocked it at 118 MPH in the posted 65MPH speed zone. Tr. Lombardi radioed to Troopers on the ground who were able to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was identified as a 2005 Honda Accord. The driver was identified as,

Age 21
Cambridge, MA
TFC. Sean Faherty of the Special Enforcement Unit made contact with Johnson and charged him with Reckless Operation and Operating after Suspension. Johnson is due to appear in the 10th Circuit Hooksett District Court to answer to these charges on November 5, 2020 at 0800 hours.
The NH State Police Special Enforcement Unit regularly interdicts elevated speed violations and other aggressive driving behaviors. Its members patrol across the state often utilizing the State Police aircraft during commuter traffic periods and holiday travel times with the goal of keeping New Hampshire's roadways safe for all residents and visitors.
