Serious Bodily Injury Crash Interstate 93 North
On 8/4/2021 at approximately 10:20 P.M. the New Hampshire State Police – Troop D received a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck on Interstate 93 North in the area of mile marker 73.2 in New Hampton, NH.
The pickup truck was a 1999 Ford F-350 and the motorcycle was a 2103 Kawasaki 650. Initial on scene investigations revealed that the motorcycle crashed into the rear of the pickup truck at a high rate of speed. The pickup truck was in the right lane at the time with their hazard lights flashing driving approximately 55 mph due to an unknown mechanical issue. The roadway curved to the right gradually prior to where the crash occurred.
New Hampton EMS and New Hampton Police were first to arrive on scene and EMTs immediately began administering medical aid to the operator of the motorcycle. That operator was later identified as:
Victoria Lapusata of Londonderry, NH
Age: 27
She suffered serious bodily injuries after colliding with the pickup truck and falling from the motorcycle. She was transported to Speare Memorial Hospital in Plymouth, NH in critical condition. The other people involved in the crash were not injured.
Due to the severity of the crash, the right lane on Interstate 93 North in the area of mile marker 73.2 was shut down for approximately 2 hours. New Hampton Police, New Hampton Fire and EMS, as well as Ashland Fire and EMS assisted NH State Police on scene.
