Serious Motor Vehicle Crash - Interstate 93
On Friday, April 1, 2022, at approximately 08:30, the New Hampshire State Police responded to a serious motor vehicle crash on Interstate 93 southbound in the Town of New Hampton.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2010 Toyota Rav-4, operated by Alfred Davenport, Age 66 Laconia, NH, was traveling north on Interstate 93. It is believed that Mr. Davenport suffered a medical emergency. Mr. Davenport's vehicle veered left, traveling off the northbound lanes of Interstate 93, continuing through the median and into the southbound lanes of Interstate 93. Mr. Davenport's vehicle then struck a southbound tractor trailer operated by Bryan Howe Age- 48, Wilmont NH. The operator of the tractor trailer did not suffer any injuries. Mr. Davenport was transported to Speare Memorial Hospital and later Concord Hospital for serious injuries.
Interstate 93 was reduced to one lane or travel for approximately 1 hour while the crash was investigated. The New Hampshire State Police were assisted on scene by the New Hampshire Fish and Game, New Hampton Police, Ashland and Bristol Fire Departments.
