Traffic Enforcement Initiative
Bow, New Hampshire – On Sunday, June 18, 2023, the New Hampshire State Police Special Enforcement Unit conducted a traffic enforcement initiative utilizing the State Police aircraft on Interstate 93 South in the town of Bow.
During today’s enforcement effort, 12 vehicles were observed traveling 90 miles per hour or greater and 4 vehicles were observed traveling 100 miles per hour or greater.
One of these vehicles, identified as a 2018 Yamaha motorcycle, was clocked by Sergeant Jay LaPointe to be traveling at a speed of 140 miles per hour. Sergeant LaPointe relayed the motorcycle’s location to Troopers on the ground, who were able to locate and stop the subject. The motorcycle was operated by Alex David Lacy, Age: 24 Salisbury, NH.
Troopers took Lacy into custody where he was charged with Reckless Driving, Reckless Conduct and Uninspected Motorcycle. A Bail Commissioner released Lacy on his own recognizance, and he is due to appear in the 6th Circuit Court – District Division Concord on July 28, 2023, at 8:00 a.m.

The Unit is equipped with the latest technology and tools to effectively monitor and enforce traffic laws, including the State Police Aircraft.
