Two People Die in Henniker House Fire

New Hampshire State Fire Marshal Paul J. Parisi, Henniker Fire Chief Jim Morse, and Henniker Police Chief Matt French announce that on November 9, 2020, at 4:51PM a call was received for reported fire a mobile home located at 41 Ryan Road. Henniker Fire and Police units along with Mutual Aid units responded to the scene and encountered heavy smoke and fire coming out of the rear of the residence. The fire was quickly extinguished; however, one adult and one child occupant of the residence were unable to escape and were later pronounced dead.

The New Hampshire Fire Marshal’s Office – Bureau of Investigations is investigating the incident with assistance from the Henniker Police and Fire Departments. Autopsies will be conducted by the NH State Medical Examiner’s Office on Wednesday morning at Concord Hospital.

State Fire Marshal Parisi wants to remind everyone to maintain working smoke alarms in their homes and keep exits clear of debris. Please remember that a candle is an open flame, which can easily ignite anything that can burn. Please consider flameless which can look and smell like real candles.
