Untimely Death Investigation In Middleton

Troop A

MIDDLETON, N.H. – The New Hampshire State Police is investigating the untimely death of a man in Middleton.

At 2:06 p.m. today, July 19, 2024, State Troopers assigned to the Troop A barracks were requested to respond to 101 Access Road for a report of an adult male stuck under a dump truck. Upon arrival, emergency medical personnel determined the victim had succumbed to injuries sustained during the incident.

The preliminary investigation has determined a 2012 Ford F-550 pickup truck rolled backward on top of the victim, identified as William Miners III, 53, of Madison.

Multiple agencies assisted Troopers at the scene, including members of the Wakefield Police Department, Wakefield Fire Rescue Department, the New Hampshire Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and Crowell’s Towing & Repair.

While the injuries sustained during the incident are believed to be the cause of death, and the incident appears to be accidental, all aspects remain under further investigation. Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is asked to contact Trooper Matthew Bailey at Matthew.S.Bailey@dos.nh.gov
