Wrong-Way Driver Arrested

SALEM, New Hampshire – On August 31, 2023, at approximately 2:20 a.m., Troopers Duhamel and Olmstead of the New Hampshire State Police Troop B barracks were traveling southbound on Interstate 93 when they encountered a vehicle driving northbound in the southbound lanes. The Troopers were able to successfully stop the operator as the vehicle passed the exit 1 off ramp.

The operator of the vehicle was identified as Vanessa Dubey, age 26, of Haverhill, MA. Dubey informed Troopers that she was “following her GPS” at the time. The area that Dubey entered the interstate is unknown as Troopers were able to intercept this vehicle before any reports to 911 were made.

Dubey was placed under arrest and charged with Reckless Conduct, Aggravated DWI, and Reckless Operation.  She will be arraigned in Salem District Court at a later date.
