Wrong-Way Driver Arrested

LONDONDERRY, N.H. – On Sunday, April 14, 2024, just after 5 a.m., the New Hampshire State Police received reports of a vehicle traveling the wrong way on Interstate 93. Information received indicated the vehicle had been traveling northbound in the southbound lanes from the Massachusetts border.

The initial caller placed the vehicle in the wrong direction near mile marker 6.8 in Windham. Additional callers reported the vehicle was continuing to travel in the wrong direction. 

While Trooper Kevin Gazlay responded from the Manchester area, another caller placed the vehicle at exit 4. Trooper Gazlay continued south and was eventually able to successfully intercept the vehicle at mile marker 13.6 in Londonderry, stopping the driver from continuing further.

The driver of the wrong-way vehicle was identified as Stephanie McPhee, 31, of Hampstead. McPhee was arrested on charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated and reckless conduct – deadly weapon.
